Marian's Story

I gave blood for the first time in remembrance of my dad Josie who passed away from cancer in June of 2010. My dad, like me, hated needles but unfortunately when he was diagnosed with cancer it became part of his routine to have transfusions as regularly as every week before he passed away.

Thank you to all the donors who donated their blood when my dad needed it and for giving me extra time to spend with him. Now it is my turn to return the good deed and hopefully I will give someone else the time they need to spend with a love one that has fallen ill. Thank you, Marian - remembering my dad, whom I love and miss so much.
