The Irish Unrelated Bone Marrow Registry helps patients to find a matching life-saving donor. A stem cell transplant can be a treatment option for more than 80 diseases and disorders. Every person who registers gives a patient in need a better chance of finding their match.

There is a Malaria risk all year round in all areas below 2500m including in regions of Beni, Pando and Santa Cruz . There is No risk in La Paz city.

The Previous malaria risk was All year in various rural areas below 2500m until August 2009.

The malaria risk applies:

if you spent 6 months or more in Bolivia for a continuous period at any time of your life

if you ever had malaria

if you had an unexplained fever associated with travel to Bolivia (or any other malaria area )
