IBTS to run 6 additional blood donation clinics on Sunday

Due to the ongoing difficulties with the weather, the IBTS is holding 6 additional blood donation clinics on Sunday 5th December. These are as follows:
Cork
The Barrs Club, Neenan Park Togher, 12 - 3.30pm
Dublin
Stillorgan Blood Donation Clinic 11 - 3pm
D'Olier Street Blood Donation Clinic - make an appointment from 11am - 3pm at 1850 731137 or drop in between 3 and 6pm
Dundalk
Crowne Plaza Hotel 11 - 3pm
Limerick
St Johns Pavilion, Mulgrave Street 1 - 4pm
Carlow
Presentation College, Askea - 12 - 3.30pm
“The blood supply is currently at between 5 and 6 days and a good response to our clinics on Sunday should mean that there will be sufficient supply to rule out the possibility of cancelling elective surgery next week. The IBTS hopes to collect about 800 units at the 6 clinics on Sunday. We would like to thank donors for their response so far in making a special effort to attend clinics, in spite of the difficulties.
“A number of clinics around the country next week have been relocated to more accessible locations, in the event that the weather conditions continue to prove difficult. We will keep the public up to date through our website www.giveblood.ie,” said IBTS Operations Director Paddy Bowler.
